Our coffee is separated into these three categories to help guide you towards what may be the best brew for you.

Everyday coffees are classic, sweet and smooth with lower acidity and an emphasis on rich sweetness.

Evenings coffees are fruity, bold and outgoing in their flavour profile, chosen to help kickstart the back end of a busy day.

Weekends coffees focus on complexity, nuance and clarity. Dizzying high notes and silky textures that make the perfect back drop for a mellow weekend brew.

We roast our coffees to be soluble enough for all brew methods. We aim for a medium/light roast across the board with that variation informed by how we feel each coffee can best present its character.

Drink what you like, brew it how you like it.

We roast every Sunday and post every Monday to be with you within a few days. Cut off for orders is 12pm Sunday. Mutual is a tiny company sharing space with another fantastic roaster here in Edinburgh, this means the scope for dispatch is limited for now but will change quickly.

With Mutual, our aim in buying coffee is to find something that does good as well as tastes good. We're not only looking for absolutely delicious coffees that we can brew up, we're looking for lots that we're excited to share because they also provide positive impact for the people producing them.

Being a small business in its early days means we can't buy enough to work directly with producers to any meaningful impact for them. Thankfully, we can work with a few trusted importers that we've seen do that good work over time. We'll always be clear about who we've purchased coffee from and help shine a light on the relationship these importers have with producers.
